“Health is the thing that makes you feel that now is the best time of the year.”FRANKLIN PIERCE ADAMS

According to the Center for Disease Control, as of 2012, approximately 117 million people suffered from one or more chronic conditions. These conditions include diabetes, arthritis, cancer, heart disease, stroke, obesity and more. It’s no secret that it can be devastating to suffer from a debilitating illness. Not only that, but treating and managing the illness can be costly and time consuming.

We live in a world of uncertainty, and you never know what is going to happen. While it’s unfortunate that illness strikes without a moment’s notice, there are steps you can take to decrease your chances of getting sick.

Those who are sick and those who are care givers of the sick know how imperative it is to maintain good health. Without good health, you may not be able to walk, drive a car, participate in daily activities, eat on your own, and live a normal life. This is why Franklin Peirce Adam stated: Health is the thing that makes you feel that now is the best time of the year. In fact, he should have stated that GOOD health is the thing that makes you feel that now is the best time of the year. When you have good health, you are happier, livelier and more energetic.
